Empowering Students to Impact the World since 1970
EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY AND ELEMENTARY MUSIC
Each week in music class teachers use a variety of different activities to teach and reinforce the building blocks of music education. They sing, move, listen, and use instruments to learn different musical concepts such as fast/slow, high/low, loud/soft, steady beat, and rhythm. Additionally, in first grade students will begin to learn about different musical composers and styles of music. Most importantly, students will be encouraged to use music as a wonderful tool to praise God for who He is and for all that He has done.
YOUNG CHARGER CHORALE
Young Charger Chorale is an auditioned choir for 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders, which meets on Mondays & Thursdays from 3:00-4:30 PM. The choir is directed by Tracey Fuller. Mrs. Fuller is an educator who works with singers and choirs from preschool age and up. She serves at Eagles Landing First Baptist Church as the Contemporary Choir Director for students and adults, Saturate voice choice leader, and also plays keys and sings in the worship services. Along with ministry at church, she is also the Director of the Choral program at ELCA. She is a graduate of Georgia State University with a degree in Music Education with an emphasis in piano and voice. Her passion is helping people develop their talents to serve God. During her 25 years of teaching music, many of her students have made All State Chorus, received scholarships, and served on worship teams. She has also collaborated with Will Turpin of Collective Soul by directing the children's choir for his production of Rock the Cradle. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have two children.
