Chuck Gilliam - Head of School
Chuck Gilliam has been at ELCA since 1999. He came to ELCA to serve as a 5th grade teacher and has since served as the Middle and High School principal and Assistant Head of School. Originally from Athens, Georgia, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies from Clearwater Christian College and a Masters degree in the Art of Teaching from Piedmont College. Prior to coming to ELCA, he taught for three years at Philadelphia Christian School in Conyers. He has been married to Julie since 1996, and they are the proud parents of Abby, Megan, Charlie, Claire, Aaron, Gabriel, David and Nathaniel.
   
Richard Allen - Spiritual Life Director
Richard Allen came to ELCA in 2003, moving into the position of High School principal in 2007. Prior to coming to ELCA, Mr. Allen served for sixteen years at Athens Christian School in Athens, Georgia. He graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He and his wife Kathy were married for thirty-six years, prior to her home going in May 2007. They have one son, Jonathan, who graduated from Berry College and is married to Sarah.
   
Doug Campbell - High School Principal

Doug Campbell came to ELCA in 2006 as a Physical Education teacher, Assistant Athletic Director, and baseball coach. He moved into the role of Middle School Dean of Students shortly after. In 2009, he accepted the position of High School Dean of Student and Athletic Affairs before moving into the position of Assistant High School Principal in 2013. Mr. Campbell holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Mercer University with concentrations in Education and Religious Studies. He has been married to his wife, Gina, since 1986 and has two sons, Doug Jr. and Connor.

 

   
Eric Johnson - Middle School Principal
Eric Johnson came to ELCA in 2005 to teach, as well as, be the Head Wrestling coach. Little did he know that the Lord would call him to serve as principal in just his second year at ELCA. Coach Johnson was born in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Cedarville University in Ohio in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. He received his Masters of Education in Administration from Troy State University in 2003 and his Specialist degree in 2006 from Lincoln Memorial University in Educational Administration and Supervision. Coach Johnson and his wife, Gwen, were married in December of 1991, and have two children, Trent (ELCA Class of 2016) and Victoria.
 
   
Edd Tucker - Lower School Principal
Edd Tucker came to ELCA in 1997 to serve as Elementary Principal. Originally from Pensacola, Florida, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Tennessee Temple University. He started his teaching career in 1969 at North Florida Christian School in Tallahassee, Florida. He taught in the classroom before moving into administration and becoming Elementary Co-Principal in 1975. He received an Administrators Permanent Professional Certificate from the Florida Association of Christian Schools in 1987. In 1993, he became the Elementary Principal at Sherwood Christian Academy in Albany, Georgia. Married to Marlene Tucker since 1966, they are the proud parents of Darren and Dana. They are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren.
 
   
Vicky Rodgers- Director of Early Learning Academy 
Vicky Rodgers has been at ELCA since 2000.  Originally from Glenwood, Iowa, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Music and a Reading Endorsement from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. Vicky married David Rodgers in 1987, and they are the proud parents of Collin and Shelby, who are both graduates of ELCA.
   

Clayton McClure - High School Assistant Principal

Clayton McClure came to ELCA in 2001 to teach English, Bible, and Public Speaking. Since then, he has taught at the high school and middle school levels. In 2010, he  became the Assistant Principal for the Middle School. Prior to coming to ELCA, he taught and coached at Mt. Zion Christian Academy for two years. He graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a Bachelor of Science degree. He has been married to his wife Heidi since 1998 and they have three boys (Ethan, Micah, and Jonah) who all attend ELCA. He and his family are actively involved at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church.

 

   
Shari Allen- Middle School Assistant Principal
Mrs. Allen has been an educator for 23 years, joining the staff at ELCA in 2015.  She currently serves as middle school assistant principal.  Originally from Morton, Illinois; Mrs. Allen graduated with honors from Illinois State University with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education.  She and her husband Walton have been married since 1992 and have 3 children:  Kyle, William, and Anslie.  They are active members at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church.
   

 

 

 

Susan Hearn - Elementary Assistant Principal

Susan Hearn has been at ELCA since 1995. She taught third grade for 12 years, and served as the Math and Reading Coordinator before serving as the Curriculum Director for elementary. Currently, she serves as Elementary Assistant Principal. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Piedmont College and her Education Specialist degree from Valdosta State University. Prior to coming to ELCA, she taught kindergarten and third grade at another Christian School and first and third grades in Clayton County Public Schools. She and her husband Scott have been married since 1982. They have two children, Jacob and Miranda.

   
Cindy George  - Dean of Academics
Mrs. George joined ELCA in 2013 as the high school Academic Dean after serving in public education for 33 years as a classroom teacher, Instructional Lead Teacher, and Instructional Assistant Principal. Mrs. George spent the last thirteen years at Union Grove High School where she established an academic continuous improvement plan that resulted in a ranking in the top 2.6% of all public high schools in the state of Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Georgia College and a Master of Arts for Teachers degree in Biology from Georgia State University. After numerous add-on certifications from the University of West Georgia in the areas of gifted education and instructional supervision, Mrs. George received her Education Specialist degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. Mrs. George is married to Jackie, her husband of 32 years, and they are the proud parents of two daughters, Ivey and Lydia.
   
Susan Moore- Director of Admissions
Susan Moore has been at ELCA since 2002, originally in the cafeteria before moving to Admissions in 2005 and is currently serving as the Director of Admissions. She is married to Tony Moore, and they have two children, Seth, who graduated from ELCA in 2012, and Ragan, ELCA Class of 2014. Mrs. Moore’s family is actively involved at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church.
 
 
 
Cindy Baker - Director of Business and Finance
Cindy Baker came to ELCA in 2000 to serve as the Director of Finance. Originally from Powder Springs, she earned a degree in Accounting and Finance from Kennesaw State University in 1989. She is also a Certified Public Accountant. Married to Archie Baker, Mrs. Baker has three sons, Will, Luke (Class of 2010), and Jake (Class of 2013). 
   
 

Al Hosford – Director of Advancement

Al Hosford came to ELCA in 2013.  Prior to this move into ministry, he worked in the financial services industry.  Al earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Georgia, and a Graduate Degree from the ABA Stonier National Graduate School of Banking.  He and his wife Melony have two sons Trenton and Troy, who both are current students at ELCA.  His family is actively involved with Eagles Landing First Baptist Church.

   

 

Vickie Floyd- Assistant Director of Advancement
Vickie Floyd has worked in the Development Office at ELCA since 2004. Prior to that she worked as the Foundation Coordinator for the Henry Medical Center Foundation for six years. Other professional experience includes over fifteen years in the fields of Human Resources and Benefit/Compensation Management. She grew up in Morrow, GA and attended Clayton State University. She and her husband, Danny, have been married for over twenty years and have one daughter, Bethany, who is a graduate of ELCA, Class of 2009.
 
   
Kim Brunette - Director of Marketing and Communications
Kim Brunette first came to ELCA as a member of the Ministry Team in 1991. After serving on the Ministry Team for four years she took the position of Business Manager. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom to her children in 1996 until 1999 when she returned to ELCA as a volunteer Preschool Music Teacher. She now enjoys the role of Director of Marketing and Communications after serving 14 years as librarian and Director of Libraries. Her daughter, Erika, attended ELCA through her 9th grade year and Ethan, is a member of the ELCA Class of 2014.
   
Chuck Ekstedt - Director of Fine Arts

Chuck Ekstedt has been working at ELCA since 2008 as Director of Theater for the ELCA Drama Department.  Over the years he has directed and produced many great shows such as Sound of Music, Oliver, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, A Few Good Men, Steel Magnolias, The Crucible, The Lion King  and many more. He is currently teaching our high school drama class, coaching our GHSA One Act Drama team, and serving as the Fine Arts Department Head.  In addition to his theater work on campus, Chuck is also on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Theater Conference and serves as the Region 5A One Act Play Coordinator for the Georgia High School Association.  Chuck has a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education from Eastern Montana College in Billings, MT.  Before coming to ELCA Chuck was an officer in U.S. Navy Reserve, proudly serving in multiple conflicts around the globe and even holding command.   He has been married to his wife Lynn for 26 years, and they have four children; Joshua, Eli, Mary Lynn, and Hannah.

   
Scott Queen - Athletic Director 
Scott Queen has been at ELCA since 1997 and has been teaching and coaching in Christian Education for 24 years. He serves as the Athletic Director, Head Track & Field Coach, and an Assistant Football Coach. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management from Liberty University, where he played football and ran track. Prior to coming to ELCA, he taught and coached for three years at North Florida Christian School in Tallahassee, FL and was an assistant track coach for one year at Liberty University. He has been married to Anna since 1998 and they are the proud parents of Sean and Asia.
   
 
 
Anna Ivey - Director of Student Support Services
Anna Ivey has been working in education for the past ten years, eight of which have been at ELCA.  She has taught writing on the college level for three years. At present, she teaches high school English with Student Support Services and also serves as the Director. She received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Clayton State University, and earned her Master’s degree in English from Clayton State University. Currently, Anna is a doctoral candidate in writing at Georgia State University with an anticipated graduation date of May 2018. She has published work in over 20 different literary magazines and her writing has been anthologized in several places. Anna is married to Chad and they live in McDonough. Her children are Aralyn and Cade.
   
Martha Fairley - Director, K-12 Instructional Technology & ELCA Connect Online Learning
Martha Fairley  has been at ELCA since 2006 moving from Raleigh, NC.  She is the Director of Technology for ELCA and also serves as the Director of Online Learning.  Martha has a  Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Jackson State University. She also has a Master of Education degree with a concentration in Curriculum & Instruction from Seattle Pacific University. Martha has been teaching in Christian education for over 17 years.  Before teaching Martha was a software development manager with IBM in North Carolina & Virginia.  She has been married to her husband Ron since 1986 and they have two boys, Marcus (ELCA 2010) and Brandon (ELCA 2014). 
 
   
Donna Bowie – Registrar/Director of Financial Aid

Mrs. Bowie joined ELCA in 2001 and serves as Registrar and Director of Financial Aid.  She and her husband, Jim, married in 1978 and have two amazing children, Leila and James (ELCA ’04).

   
Teresa McKay - Store Director
Mrs. McKay joined the ELCA family in 2001 and is excited to be the director of the Charger Store. Having spent years teaching all grades of visual art, she brings her creative expertise into the retail environment. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two children RheaAnn and Conner (both ELCA alumni) and her grandson, Ethan. 
   

 Jena Pinder - Director of Libraries

Ms. Pinder has been at ELCA since 2002. In 1993, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in English and Social Studies from Mercer University. Finally, she graduated from Valdosta State with a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instructional Technology. Since starting at ELCA, she has taught third grade and seventh grade Language Arts. She is currently the Director of Libraries, where she serves PK3 through twelfth grade students, school staff, and parents. She is also the coach of the Varsity tennis team. She and her family have attended and served at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church since 1997. Her four children have been fortunate to attend ELCA: Sydney (class of 2014), Jordan (class of 2018), Jacob (class of 2020), and Jesse (class of 2023).
