The Eagles Landing Christian Academy Sports Medicine Program is designed to provide quality sports preventative and injury care to the athletes and students of Eagles Landing Christian Academy. Our athletic trainer works closely with area physicians and the team doctor. Dr. Daniel Orcutt of OrthoAtlanta acts as team physician for all sports at Eagles Landing Christian Academy. Dr. Orcutt has been volunteering as team physician since 2008 and is a valuable member of the Eagles Landing Christian Academy Sports Medicine team.

Eagles Landing Christian Academy’s athletic trainer strives to establish trusting relationships with the athletes, coaching staff, parents, and the medical community. These relationships depend on effective communication between all parties involved and a commitment to do what’s best for the athletes. The athletic training room has up-to-date technology including an ultrasound and e-stim machine, two treatment tables, one taping table, a spine board, and a defibrillator.

Responsibilities:

Prevention of injuries resulting from physical activity

Recognition, evaluation, and assessment of injuries and conditions resulting from physical activity

Immediate care of injuries resulting from physical activity

Rehabilitation and reconditioning of injuries resulting from physical activity

About our Staff:

Jimmy Bradberry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education: Athletic Training from Georgia College & State University and a Master’s of Science degree in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University. He is a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer and a Georgia Licensed Athletic Trainer. Coach Bradberry is also certified in AED, CPR, and first aid.
