************************************************************************ Accelerated Reader is a computer-based reading program for elementary students. This program complements classroom reading programs to help build student interest in reading, to enlarge student vocabulary bases, and to increase reading comprehension levels. ELCA now subscribes to AR Enterprise which gives students unlimited access to more than 140,000 quizzes—including quizzes for books found within the school library, public libraries, and in your own home. Plus, there is a constant stream of new quizzes to help students keep up with the latest and greatest books! Students will participate in a Star Reading assessment quiz which will assign a book level reading range for him/her. Students will then select books within his/her range for quiz-taking. Access Accelerated Reader quiz information by searching the database by title or author.

Students sign an order form during the first weeks of class and the cost will be billed to your student account.
