Empowering Students to Impact the World since 1970
Elementary Overview

Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy is committed to partnering with parents to provide a learning environment that encourages growth in Christian character and academic excellence.  Through the teaching of Kingdom Education, the elementary curriculum enables the students from kindergarten through fifth grade to develop a biblical worldview. We provide a safe, caring environment where children can grow spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially.  On our campus, we encourage parental involvement during the school year through many volunteer opportunities in the classroom and via the auxiliary organizations.

Kindergarten students attend classes from 7:55 AM-2:45 PM. First and 2nd grade students attend class from 7:55-3:00PM (2:55PM on Wednesday). Third through 5th grade students attend classes from 7:55 AM-3:15PM (2:55PM on Wednesday). Our office hours are from: 7:30 AM-3:30 PM.

A traditional curriculum along with a variety of innovative learning strategies and activities are incorporated into the daily lessons. Kindergarten and first grade are taught reading through the phonics-based A Beka curriculum.  First through fifth grades use the Foundations and Frameworks reading program which emphasizes reading comprehension with a focus on higher-order thinking skills. Language Arts, which includes writing, grammar, and spelling, is taught using the A Beka curriculum in the lower grades and Bob Jones in the upper grades. ELCA math standards are taught using a variety of resources including Go Math which focuses on problem solving skills and strategies. Bible is taught daily and students attend chapel once a week. History, science, and health complete the well-rounded academic program.

Expanded Curriculum for Exceptional Learners (EXCEL) is designed to provide gifted educational opportunities to students in the second through fifth grades using the STEM approach. Students must qualify under the EXCEL guidelines to participate in the program.
