Empowering Students to Impact the World since 1970

Our mission at ELCA is to glorify God by assisting parents in involving their children in a growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ through Kingdom Education.

ELCA is a coeducational, college-preparatory Christian School that offers a program that challenges, nurtures, and strengthens the student.

  • Located on an 86-acre campus twenty-five miles south of Atlanta.
  • Divided into five schools and offer a comprehensive academic program for students PK-3 through grade 12.

Through our history, we have gained membership to other organizations which strengthen our distinction and expand the educational experiences we provide for our students. (more)
ACADEMICS. Our goal is to provide excellence in every aspect of our students' educational experiences.
  • Facilities provide students with necessary tools to achieve avenues of success in a structured and caring environment.
  • Programs challenge students to utilize their God-given talents.
We emphasize the pursuit of individual excellence. Students are prepared for a rewarding college experience and have instilled in them a love of learning that will last a lifetime. (more)
ATHLETICS. ELCA students may participate in team and individual sports programs, each challenging our students to excel in a competitive environment.
  • Our programs are designed to:
    • Instill healthy life habits through participation in competitive programs.
    • Train students in life skills and character traits they will be using throughout their lives - godliness, perseverance, determination, dedication, and excellence.
  •  Our goal for each program is to teach:
    • Respect for the training.
    • Dedication to the effort.
    • Refinement in the outcome.
ELCA offers a variety of athletic programs in multiple levels, ranging from elementary through varsity sports. (more)

  • Learn about history and techniques involved in various art forms.
  • Develop an appreciation for various arts disciplines.
Performing and visual arts programs are offered at the earliest grades to nurture in each student a capacity for his individual artistic ability while promoting self-discipline and encouraging self-confidence. (more)
INDIVIDUAL. ELCA's mission is to assist parents in teaching their children to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. This is encouraged through:
  • Formal and informal contact with Christian teachers.
  • Regular academic and non-academic study of scripture.
Our environment provides opportunities for worship service and Christian inquiry both on and off campus throughout the school year. (more)
COMMUNITY. We seek to develop in our students a desire to learn and to become a good citizen in serving the local community and the world beyond. Through daily living, we strive to create a community which:
  • Exemplifies Christan values.
  • Demonstrates their implications for the individual and society.
Our programs promote spiritual, intellectual, physical and social growth. (more)
GLOBAL. "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation," Mark 16:15. ELCA provides to our students the opportunity to heed Jesus' words to his disciples. Our school hosts mission opportunities in our community and throughout the world to our students each year. (more)
IN LEARNING. Our programs focus on developing the whole student for the glory of God. Students are engaged in a learning process that:
  • Excites the imagination.
  • Challenges current understanding of concepts.
Participation in venues that showcase the mastery of these achievements are provided throughout the students' educational experiences. (more)
IN LIFE. We seek to instill in our students a recognition of their God-given potential - potential that will serve a the foundation upon which they will build the rest of their lives. It is our desire that they depart with a:
  • Deeper understanding of God's love and plan for their lives.
  • Greater appreciation of themselves and the world in which they live.
Our programs encourage taking the "book knowledge" learned in our classrooms and successfully turning it into wisdom and discernment as they continue their journey into God's will for their lives. (more)
